How it works
Fine droplets at high pressure
Water mist systems use small quantities of water delivered at high pressure. The concept propels automated fine water particles at high speed, allowing them to penetrate hot combustion gases while ensuring regular distribution of the particles throughout the protected space.
Water mist minimises thermal shock, a significant advantage over conventional sprinkler systems in environments where rapid temperature changes could cause additional damage. The system is composed of water and nitrogen.
The water mist lance is also available for firefighting interventions from a fire engine or on-site fire hydrant network, providing effective combat against fire with superior cooling capacity on structures and hot smoke. It is suited to urban fires (vehicles, waste storage) and industrial fires, and helps shield firefighting personnel from thermal radiation.
