How it works
AFFF foam for major fire risks
A system designed to combat major risks such as fuels and flammable solutions. A controlled-concentration AFFF foam is stored in a tank and added to the suppression system when a fire occurs. Each system type (wet pipe, dry pipe, deluge, pre-action) can be adapted for AFFF foam injection.
The emulsifiers used are generally low in toxicity and safe for people in normal use. The emulsifiers, foaming solutions, foams and decanted solutions are not aggressive to the environment and are biodegradable. The addition of foaming agents makes water more effective and doubles its cooling power.
Our foam systems also block toxic vapours, solvent vapours, acid vapours and ammonia vapours.

What is expansion ratio?
Expansion ratio is the relationship between the initial volume of solution (water + foaming agent) used and the volume of foam produced (water + foaming agent + air).
Low expansion (0 to 25)
Reserved for outdoor interventions requiring a range of more than 10 metres. Produces foam rich in water and heavy.
Medium expansion (25 to 300)
For indoor and outdoor interventions on pool fires, retention basin fires, and large fire surfaces.
High expansion (300 to 600 and above)
Primarily for intervention in enclosed spaces and cellars. Can be deployed even if the area has not been fully evacuated: the air-rich foam produced allows people to breathe normally during evacuation.
